Welcome. I’m Paulette D’Argent, a Social Worker, Full-Spectrum Doula, Trauma-Informed Therapist, and Consultant with over 20 years’ experience walking alongside individuals, families, and communities through life’s most significant transitions—birth, grief, trauma, healing, and death.
My practice, Sacred Immersions, is a space where spiritual insight meets clinical excellence. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours), Birth and End of Life Doula training, and extensive credentials in trauma-informed care My work draws equally from grassroots community connection, evidence-based therapeutic practices, and deep listening to the human spirit.
Across every offering—counselling, birth and end-of-life support, cultural consultancy, or frontline debriefing—I honour the sacred nature of each threshold moment. I am committed to providing care that is holistic, inclusive, and rooted in both clinical integrity and soulful presence

Whether you’re a frontline professional seeking debriefing, or a person moving through profound loss or life change, I offer a space where your story can be witnessed, your strengths honoured, and your healing supported.

My work is person-centred, strengths-based, and culturally responsive—crafted for clients from diverse backgrounds including CALD, refugee, Indigenous, and LGBTIQ+ communities.

Full Spectrum Doula services

As a Full Spectrum Doula and Social Worker, I walk alongside people through life’s most profound thresholds—conception, birth, loss, and dying—with reverence, clinical understanding, and deep spiritual presence. My role is to hold space with steadiness and care, helping you to navigate the systems of our world—hospitals, hospices, clinics, and community services—while honouring your inner wisdom, emotional truth, and cultural identity.

This is soul work. And it is also social work.

My practice spans the full spectrum of human experience: from preconception, fertility journeys, and abortion care, to birth, postpartum, perinatal loss, and end-of-life support. I bring a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach that weaves clinical knowledge with deep listening and a sacred respect for the transitions we move through in life.

Birth and Postpartum Doula Care

As a Full Spectrum Birth Doula, I walk with women and birthing people from pregnancy through to postpartum, offering grounded, nurturing and culturally respectful care.

Through hands-on and emotional support, advocacy, and informed choice, I help clients navigate the birth space with confidence. I’ve supported births across home, hospital, and community settings, holding space for both the sacredness and the unpredictability of the birthing journey.

A vital part of my work has been volunteering , where I’ve had the honour of supporting vulnerable and at-risk women—many experiencing housing insecurity, isolation, trauma, or system-involvement. This work is close to my heart and reflects my deep belief that all people deserve safety, autonomy, and compassionate care in birth.

Preconception and Fertility Journeys

Conception can be a deeply layered process—one of hope, grief, and uncertainty. I offer support for individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges, IVF, donor conception, and the spiritual dimensions of calling in new life.

Perinatal Loss and Grief

Loss at any stage—miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death—is life-altering. I hold space for your grief with softness and clinical insight, helping you find meaning in the pain, navigate the medical systems, and honour your baby’s spirit in your own time, in your own way.

Social Work & Advocacy

As a qualified Social Worker with experience across government, health, and grassroots sectors, I have always centred my work around advocacy—for dignity, justice, and equitable care.

From my role as a Senior Projects Officer at an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, where I co-design cultural perinatal support programs, to leading national trauma-informed initiatives across various Non-government organisations.

My work is about systemic change as much as personal transformation.

I have managed programs that support families in contact with child protection and the NDIS, supervised national doula teams, and developed training for culturally safe perinatal and end-of-life practices. My advocacy has also extended into NGO’s, youth leadership, and the inclusion of refugees and newly arrived families in schools and communities.

Through every role, I bring a fierce commitment to trauma-informed practice, cultural humility, and creating safe systems of care. I consult, teach, and collaborate with organisations to improve access, equity, and outcomes for marginalised communities.

End of Life and Soul Passage

End of life is a deeply human and sacred threshold.

As a certified End of Life Doula trained by Preparing the Way, I offer spiritual companionship, practical support, and grief care for individuals and families facing dying, death, and bereavement.I support individuals and families through dying, death, and beyond. Whether in hospice, at home, or in aged care, I offer practical guidance, emotional presence, and sacred ritual. I hold the space where grief and love  co-exist—helping you prepare, reflect, and honour what matters most. This includes legacy work, vigils, spiritual support, and gentle aftercare for loved ones.

In every part of my work, I blend the clinical training of a Social Worker with the heart of a Doula—attuned to the unseen, the sacred, and the emotional depths we carry. I help you find your voice, navigate systems, and stay connected to your truth as you move through life’s most tender and transformational moments.

I provide a calm, compassionate presence—whether facilitating legacy projects, holding vigil, preparing for home death, or simply bearing witness to the stories that matter most. I honour all spiritual and cultural traditions, and I work in close consultation with families to ensure that the dying process reflects the values, dignity, and wishes of each person.

My work is not only informed by doula training but also by years of clinical experience supporting people through grief, trauma, and end-of-life transitions, including in refugee and CALD communities, aged care, and palliative support networks.

This is heart-led work that weaves together clinical care, ancestral wisdom, and soul honouring.

You are not alone. You are held—through grief and joy, thresholds and returns, endings and beginnings.
